The word prophet refers to the office of the prophet, which is a Spiritual Gift. A prophet is the spokesperson for the Lord. When God needs to speak to His people, He uses the Prophet. Prophecy is a broad term referring to anything and everything prompted by the Holy Spirit. When we share or use any of our Spiritual Gifts, we are prophesying. Therefore, every Christian can prophesy. This includes a “word picture” of encouragement.
The Holy Spirit gave the following prophetic Word Pictures weekly through Dr. Gene. The Words are meant to build up the church, which are God’s people. The Words were given for that week; however, God’s Words never expire.
I saw one of the worship team members preparing for the morning worship service. Everything he touched glowed until the whole area was filled with God’s glory.
The Holy Spirit pours the Glory of God into us so we can reflect it to the world.
2 Corinthians 3:18, And we all, who with unveiled faces reflect the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.
Philippians 2:15, so that you may become blameless and pure, “children of God without fault in a warped and crooked generation.” Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky
Matthew 5:16, In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.
I saw a big ear pulsing in and out.
God is always in tune with the pulse of the world and especially with His children. God is always listening. There is nothing He doesn’t hear.
1 Peter 3:12, For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their prayer, but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.”
Psalms 116:2, Because he turned his ear to me, I will call on him as long as I live.
Psalms 34:17, The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles.
1 John 5:14, This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.
I saw a billowing cloud of smoke that glowed at night. I saw something trying to get out of the cloud, but it got sucked back in and was consumed. I saw something trying to get into the cloud, but it was repelled.
The consuming fire of the Holy Spirit
Destroys the evil within us
Destroys the enemy's schemes
Protects us from the tricks of the evil one
Deuteronomy 9:3, But be assured today that the Lord your God is the one who goes across ahead of you like a devouring fire. He will destroy them; he will subdue them before you. And you will drive them out and annihilate them quickly, as the Lord has promised you.
Deuteronomy 4:24, For the Lord your God is a consuming fire, a jealous God.
Hebrews 12:29, for our “God is a consuming fire.”
I saw the front edge of a thick forest. I looked back and forth, looking for an opening so I could enter the forest. After some time had gone by, I was about to give up looking for the opening. Then I paused, turned toward the forest, and just walked through and into the forest.
Sometimes the path God leads us on reaches a formidable barrier. If we pass through on our own understanding, we will likely want to give up. However, we need to take a moment to pause, seek the Lord’s direction, and walk through the barrier by faith.
Proverbs 3:5-6, Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; 6in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.
Romans 8:28, And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
I saw a brick that was flashing with energy. Other bricks were built around the energized brick to form a structure of some kind. The energy out of that one brick was holding the whole structure together and giving it strength. I noticed that only some people saw the energy brick.
The energy brick represents the Holy Spirit that holds together and strengthens the temple of God, which we all know is God’s people
1 Corinthians 3:16, Don’t you know that you yourselves are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in your midst?
Romans 8:9 & 11, You, however, are not in the realm of the flesh but are in the realm of the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, they do not belong to Christ. …11And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you.
John 14:17, the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you.
I saw what I understood as the Heartbeat of Heaven that beat in time with music and voices (singing). I heard the sound of drums beating. Then I heard the sound of the rest of the band. Finally, I heard the voices of praise, all the melodies and harmonies.
Heaven really enjoys the sound of worship. I saw with my spiritual eyes (2 Kings 6:17) that the hosts in heaven move in time with the music and voices of praise. All the guarding angels on earth also move in time with the worship and praise music.
Colossians 3:16, Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts.
Psalm 100:1-2, Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth. 2Worship the Lord with gladness; come before him with joyful songs.
Psalm 50:23(AMP), “He who offers a sacrifice of praise and thanksgiving honors Me; And to him who orders his way rightly [who follows the way that I show him], I shall show the salvation of God.”
2 Kings 6:17, And Elisha prayed, “Open his eyes, Lord, so that he may see.” Then the Lord opened the servant’s eyes, and he looked and saw the hills full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.
I saw a portable teleprompter that appeared when I looked in front of me. When my gaze looked a little off-center, I could no longer see the teleprompter’s words.
The Lord promises to send the Holy Spirit to give us the Words when we need them, only if we center our Spiritual eyes and mind on the Lord. When we look elsewhere, we are on our own.
Hebrews 12:2, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him, he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Colossians 3:2, Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.
Luke 12:12, for the Holy Spirit will teach you at that time what you should say.”
John 14:26, But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.
I saw what looked like a weed all alone. Then I saw people trying many ways to get rid of it. Nothing seemed to work until the master gardener came and, with tender loving care, turned it into a beautiful flower.
We often try to get rid of people who are annoying and do not seem to fit into our lives. However, God wants our help to give them tender loving care, to transform them into a victorious Christian.
Isaiah 61:3, and provide for those who grieve in Zion—to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendor.
Ecclesiastes 3:11 He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end.
1 Corinthians 15:43, it is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory; it is sown in weakness, it is raised in power;
I saw a cup or mug standing by itself. As I looked at it with my Spiritual eyes it began to show what was inside. It started bubbling with steam billowing out covering the area around the cup. It overflowed and ran all over the place. The contents of the cup burped and then the ripples splashed on the sides of the cup. (Like when a stone is tossed into a pool of water.) Then the cup repeatedly filled and went half full.
When we get saved our cup begins to get excited and when it reaches the boiling point the Glory of God (steam) fills the atmosphere. Our Spiritual goal is to reach a steady overflowing of the Spirit of God in our lives. However, sometimes we need a reminder or push to get back on track (represented by the burp and ripples). As we grow into Spiritual maturity (The steady overflowing) our cup is filling, emptying (our ministering to others), and refilling, but it will never deplete completely.
Psalms 23:5, You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.
Psalms 16:5, Lord, you alone are my portion and my cup; you make my lot secure.
Ezekiel 43:5, Then the Spirit lifted me up and brought me into the inner court, and the glory of the Lord filled the temple.
Ephesians 1:3, Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ.
Ephesians 3:19, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.

I saw several full-stage productions, complete with all the bells and whistles. The audience was Father God on His throne and the multitudes in heaven.
Word:
Everything we do in the Name of Jesus, no matter how big or small, the Holy Spirit makes it a great big production for the Father to enjoy.
Ephesians 5:19-20, speaking to one another with psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit. Sing and make music from your heart to the Lord, 20always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
John 4:23, Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks.
Romans 8:26, In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans.

I saw a collage of objects. They looked random and unrelated. There were signs that the words were changing at a fast pace. There were shelves and divider walls, also being reconfigured at a rapid rate. When I asked the Lord for clarity, He said, “Stop, concentrate, and give full attention to one thing at a time.’ When I did, I started to see the message that was there all along.
Word:
God is always communicating to us. We just need to stop, concentrate, and give our full attention to the specific message we need from the Lord.
Psalms 46:10, He says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”
Proverbs 4:20-21, My son, pay attention to what I say; turn your ear to my words. 21Do not let them out of your sight, keep them within your heart;
I saw one small boat out in the middle of the ocean. I saw many boats of many different sizes and shapes in the harbor. After some time, I saw another boat leave the harbor and sail into the vast ocean. The picture zoomed out, and I saw a few more boats spread out in the vast ocean.
It starts with one brave person to step out for the Lord by faith. After some time, others will be encouraged to also step out in faith. When you start to feel alone in the vast ocean of serving, God will show you that you are one of many who are faithful to God’s call.
1 Kings 19:10,18; He replied, “I have been very zealous for the Lord God Almighty. The Israelites have rejected your covenant, torn down your altars, and put your prophets to death with the sword. I am the only one left, and now they are trying to kill me too.” 18 Yet I reserve seven thousand in Israel—all whose knees have not bowed down to Baal and whose mouths have not kissed him.”
I saw the men and women setting up the building for the Sunday morning service. As the scene zoomed out everyone began to move faster and faster. (It zoomed out to a large representation of the world). Then I noticed that some of the people moving about doing their work were highlighted and bold.
I thought the question why were some of the people highlighted and bold? The Holy Spirit said the highlighted and bold people were working as unto the Lord. God sees all workers but enjoys the highlighted and bold workers.
Colossians 3:23-24, Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, 24since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.
We need to think of our inheritance when working for the Lord. When working for the Lord we build up the Kingdom of God, in which we all get the full inheritance. All God’s children don’t just get a share like earthly children, but each one of God’s children gets the whole inheritance. (This is a God thing beyond our understanding but true nevertheless).
I saw two sides of a barrier wall. The wall was made with a lot of small pieces. The front part was a flat rectangle. The side was flat at the top edge but the bottom edge went up at an uneven angle. The last few pieces of the wall were built on the lower side panel where the two sides met.
When I asked the Holy Spirit for more, as in seeing the picture from different angles. The Holy Spirit said there is only one way to look at our protection. That way is God’s way. Our protection from the world, the devil, and ourselves is complex and made with many small, complex pieces. The Holy Spirit said I did not need to know how we are being protected but just to be assured that we are protected.
Philippians 4:6-7, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
I saw a flip-chart picture of a person. You could flip to different shoes, pants, shirts, and hats. You could flip to various hairstyles. Then I saw some construction kits like K'nex and Legos. Several random things were being constructed. As the picture faded I saw everything being altered.
This message was hard because it did not make sense to me at first. After asking for clarity, the Holy Spirit explained that He was showing me tangible things that represented our feelings and attitudes. The Holy Spirit reminded me of Luke 6:45 which tells us that what is in our hearts is what comes out of our mouths. The Holy Spirit told me that this verse also implies that what is in our hearts dictates our actions. The Holy Spirit told me that working on what is in our hearts is very important to God. Then a few phrases popped into my mind: “Obedience is better than sacrifice;” “The Joy of the Lord is my strength;” “I can do all things through Christ Jesus;” “Be transformed by the renewing of our minds;” and “My grace is sufficient.”
The things in heaven and things about God are far beyond our human understanding. God allows the Holy Spirit to reveal those things in a way we can understand.
1 Corinthians 2:9-10, “However, as it is written: ‘What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived’—the things God has prepared for those who love him—these are the things God has revealed to us by his Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God.”
I saw Praise songs going up to heaven in a flow. The picture zoomed out and I saw Praise songs going out from Earth in a continuous wave all around the planet. Then I saw a big smile on God’s face.
God loves the continuous praises of His children.
I saw many columns of headlines and articles scrolling up a large screen. When I looked to the right or the left I saw more columns scrolling faster. When I looked down, the scrolling slowed, but the words were blurry and hard to read. When I looked up the scrolling was just right for reading and one article at a time would be highlighted for easy reading.
There is a lot of information available to answer our questions. However, the message from the Holy Spirit is the one we need to listen to. I saw words exponentially getting fuller, longer, and more in-depth going up toward heaven. Then I saw some words being erased, some changed and some rearranged.
As we sing and/or speak words of praise and worship God, the Holy Spirit expands our words exponentially according to what is in our hearts. The words are then filtered through God the Son, Jesus, deleting the worldly-influenced stuff and rewording in the right way to bring glory to God. After this, The words are presented to God the Father, who smiles joyfully.
I saw a flash of light in the shape of a square. I noticed it was flashing in time with the music along with flashing in harmony with someone talking. I also noticed the flashing was in different colors, shades, and brightness along with the different durations of the flashes. As I was looking at the square my vision began zooming out until I saw several squares in a row. It continued zooming out until I saw several rows. And again it kept zooming out until I saw a whole sheet or page of colorful squares flashing to the music and voices. When I focused and concentrated on the whole page the squares became pixels of a moving picture in time with the music and voices.
God has every pixel of our lives recorded in heaven. When we have the need we can zoom in on any part of our lives to review so we can make corrections and adjustments or rejoice in accomplishments, all to help us have a victorious Christian Life.
I saw several fiery darts. Some hit a shield then went through and changed. Some were caught by a big hand then released, changed. Some were hitting against an invisible shield or barrier and then went through and changed. After changing to a cleansing fire the flames began cleaning a sign with the word Word on it.
In Romans 8:28 it says that all things work together for good. When the evil one fires a fiery dart that could trick us into sinning, doubt, or anything else that we should not be doing (Romans chapter 7) God changes it to something good. God not only changes it to something good but He also uses the changed fire to purify us to wholeness again, (1 John 1:9) If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.
I saw a large platform moving up and down and twisting (each corner moving up and down one at a time). Then I saw a silhouette of a person standing next to a post. The picture zoomed out and I saw the person and post walking on the moving stage but staying plum and level.
No matter how much our lives get topsy-turvy God keeps us plum and on the level. Plum means steady ups and downs which is a two-way communication with the Lord. We pray to God and God speaks to us through the Holy Spirit (1 Thessalonians 5:16-17; John 14:26). Level indicates the straight and narrow road (Matthew 7:13-14)
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18, Rejoice always, 17 pray continually, 18 give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.
John 14:26, But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.
Matthew 7:13-14, “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. 14 But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.
I saw a reporter taking notes. I saw in the background (very dim and unfocused) a reporter with a microphone talking to or interviewing witnesses.
I thought to myself, “Tis the season to get the good news about Jesus out to the world” Then I felt the Holy Spirit saying, “The reporter represents each of us individually. The main instruction is to listen to what the Holy Spirit tells us and take notes.” Because the dim unfocused background also represents us going out to share the Word that we got from the Holy Spirit and wrote down.
Simply put, the Holy Spirit is going to give us a personal Word for a person we will meet this season. The Word will be more than the normal Christmas greeting (that’s why it is recommended to write it down). It will not be a new greeting for the masses. It will be a personal message for a particular person that the Holy Spirit will bring you to.
If this is new to you relax and trust the Lord to give you something He knows you can do.
Philippians 4:13, I can do all this through him who gives me strength.
I saw heaven with many colored lights flashing in time with music. I saw angels dancing to the music also. I saw God sitting on His throne with a big smile on His face.
I saw what the Holy Spirit could show me in a way that I could understand what I was seeing. The heavenly realm is so far beyond what we humans can comprehend. The lights are a reflection of God’s smile and represent the feelings of God, that of being happy, joyful, and festive. The light also reminds us that God IS pure light without any darkness or shadows (1 John 1:5). The angels' dancing lets us know that heaven is a reflection of God’s feelings; a happy, joyful, and festive place.
I saw some Words that looked like scripture. I heard “It is written”
God wants us to remember that when God says and or writes something:
Believe it! It will be the whole truth. Not even a micro part will be false.
Use it! Like Jesus did, use the Word to combat the enemy's temptations.
Feel it! The Word will bring you comfort when you are feeling down.
Learn it! Psalms 119:11, I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you.
Taste it! Psalms 34:8, Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him.
Study it! 2 Timothy 2:15 (KJV), Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
1st, I saw a press pushing down and a lot of shaking.
2nd, I saw that a person was in the press Spiritually. The pressure and then the shaking caused gunk to seep out all the cracks and openings. Then the plunger reversed, and all types of Spiritual things were sucked into the person.
1st, the scripture Luke 6:38 came to mind, “Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.”
2nd, the Holy Spirit showed me that all the gunk in our lives is pressed out so we can be filled to overflowing with the good things of the Lord.
I heard the word Thanksgiving. I saw Robert, my grandson, sitting in his wheelchair, trying to feed himself. He has advanced Huntington’s disease. Huntington’s disease is when your brain cells are destroyed, one cell at a time. The order of what cells are destroyed first differs in everyone who has Huntington’s. The stage of Robert’s Advanced Huntington’s disease is now to the point where he has a very hard time getting his body to cooperate. When he tries to pick up his fork, it takes several shaky attempts, and then when he finally gets it, he drops it. He can’t always move his body parts when he needs to. He can’t get the words out when he wants something. At this stage, people with Huntington’s begin to say an outburst word. I have been praying that this time would never come for Robert. But it did!
However, the outburst word Robert uses is not a bad word. The word is “thankyou.” This was an answer to my prayers. Then, the Lord reminded me this was also the answer to another prayer. I was concerned about Robert’s mental state. Being trapped in an uncooperative body has to be hard. Then the Lord reminded me of the Bible verse in Luke 6:45. Thank you, Jesus!
Luke 6:45, A good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and an evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of.
What comes out of our mouths when things get tough?
I saw the side of a face that was distorted. When I asked for more clarity of what I was seeing, the face turned, and the other side of the face was altogether almost perfect.
Matthew 5:39, But I tell you, do not resist an evil person. If anyone slaps you on the right cheek, turn to them the other cheek also.
This verse has more than one meaning. The meaning that the Holy Spirit wants us to understand today is that we have two sides: our evil, sinful side and our new creation side in Christ Jesus. When we are confronted with someone showing evil against us, we are to turn our new creation side toward that person, not the sinful side.
1 Peter 3:9, Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult. On the contrary, repay evil with blessing, because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing.
Romans 12:17, Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everyone.
Romans 12:21, Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
I saw an automated system opening and closing valves. The many valves were opening and closing at different rates.
The Lord wants us to experience the full measure of the Glory of God at all times. However, we humans can only handle a very small portion of the Glory of God on a good day (Exodus 33:18-20). Therefore the Holy Spirit must regulate how much each human can handle at any given moment.
Exodus 33:18-20, Then Moses said, “Now show me your glory.” 19And the Lord said, “I will cause all my goodness to pass in front of you, and I will proclaim my name, the Lord, in your presence. I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion. 20But,” he said, “you cannot see my face, for no one may see me and live.”

God’s glory is in proportion to His Holiness (Isaiah 6:1-3). Holy means to be set apart. God is very set apart from the world, but He wants us to be as holy as we can (Leviticus 19:2). Humans often fall into temptation that causes us to get closer to the world, but when we repent God moves us farther apart from the world. That is why we humans are at different levels of holiness. The more holy we are the more of God’s Glory we can handle and sense God wants us to have as much of His Glory as possible, the Holy Spirit is constantly adjusting how much of God’s Glory we receive.
Isaiah 6:1-3, In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord, high and exalted, seated on a throne; and the train of his robe filled the temple. 2Above him were seraphim, each with six wings: With two wings they covered their faces, with two they covered their feet, and with two they were flying. 3And they were calling to one another: “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord Almighty; the whole earth is full of his glory.”
Leviticus 19:2, “Speak to the entire assembly of Israel and say to them: ‘Be holy because I, the Lord your God, am holy.
Giant sifting machine. The kind that rock crushers use. Big stuff goes out first then the next biggest until you have fine powder.
God wants to crush and sift us little by little. Starting with the biggest things in our lives and then the next biggest so when He comes for us we will be refined as powder.
I saw what I recognized as God everywhere I looked. I saw flashes of History, and God was there. I looked around me, and I saw God there. I saw what I understood as the future, and I saw God there.
We can usually comprehend that God is everywhere in our perceived awareness, but it is hard sometimes to understand that God is everywhere in everyone’s awareness. It is very difficult to comprehend that God exists in the past, in the present, and in the future all at once, 24/7. This has at least two implications.
The first is that we can trust in the Lord for guidance, deliverance, and provisions because God is seeing it all past, present, and future for everyone repeatedly. Ecclesiastes 1:9, “What has been will be again, what has been done will be done again; there is nothing new under the sun.” God knows what you went through, what you are going through, and what you will go through. Trust Him!
The second implication is that God sees everyone’s sins, past, present, and future, over and over again until we ask Jesus to forgive us. Isaiah 43:25, “I, even I, am the One Who takes away your sins because of Who I am. And I will not remember your sins.” Jeremiah 31:34, “No longer will they teach their neighbor, or say to one another, ‘Know the Lord,’ because they will all know me, from the least of them to the greatest,” declares the Lord. Hebrews 8:12, “For I will forgive their wickedness and will remember their sins no more.” Give God a break and confess your sins.
One illustration to explain how God can see past, present, and future at the same time:
Scientists have discovered that we see things because of light. They tell us that distant stars, planets, and other objects that are very far away can only be seen when their light has traveled the distance towards us. That’s why scientists are seeing new things in space, even though they have been there for a long time. Therefore, because God sees every point in space and time all at once over and over again, He sees everything over and over again.
A wave of clouds moving through, saturating everything in its path.
Permeate. The word means to spread throughout. The wave of the Holy Spirit comes through and fills every nook and cranny with the Shekinah Glory of God. After King Solomon finished the temple, he prayed over it, and the Shekinah Glory of God filled the temple. 2 Chronicles 7:1 (Amp), “When Solomon had finished praying, fire came down from heaven and consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices, and the [Shekinah] glory and brilliance of the Lord filled the house.” Shekinah was the Hebrew word used to mean the divine essence of God that could dwell in a human structure. Today, we are the temple of God. 1 Corinthians 6:19, “Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own;” Therefore, the Shekinah Glory of God dwells in us. In every nook and cranny.
When we realize the potential of being filled with God's very presence, we are free and bold in doing anything and everything for God.
Philippians 4:13, “I can do all this through him who gives me strength.”
I saw a portion of my research for the book God wants me to write. I saw the word redundancy.
When God gives you a Word to share with others, He gives you the Word in many different ways. This is because God made man unique. There are no two people alike, although there are a lot of commonalities and similarities. The Word God gives you must be understood by everyone God intends it for. Therefore, sometimes, it sounds like you are repeating the same thing over and over again, but you are repeating the Word in a way that every intended person will understand and receive God’s Word.
I saw with human understanding what happens on Sunday mornings up in heaven. I saw all the angels excitedly bustling about and saying, “Come on, it’s almost time for Hope Chapel Kona to start their worship service. Let’s get a good seat so we can enjoy the service.”
God is pleased with what we are doing here at Hope Chapel Kona. He wants us to know, so we will continue and do more for His glory.
I saw humans tying a knot around something in half of the picture and an angel tying the same knot in heaven on the other side of heaven. Then I saw humans untying another knot on something just after an angel untied a knot in heaven.
The Bible talks about binding and loosing twice in Matthew.
The first is after God the Father revealed through Peter that Jesus is the Messiah. Matthew 16:19, “I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.” God wants us to know that we now have this resource when needed.
The second is when Jesus tells us how to deal with sinful people in the church and the authority we have in Jesus’ Name.
Matthew 18:18, “Truly I tell you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”

1. With man, it takes materials, time, and effort to make something that is less than perfect. God makes things out of nothing, instantaneous, and it will be perfect, right on time.
2. When God makes something, we have a choice: We can use what God makes or continue to hope God will make something we can use. We often miss out because of our limited expectations. What we want to use for God may not be what God wants us to use.
Proverbs 3:5, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;”
3. Example: When we come to a bridge over a large gully and can only see what we are standing on, our faith and trust in God enables us to take each step across the bridge. In our natural faith in humanity, we need to call structural engineers to verify that our next step will not get us killed.
When I was a boy, I went on a trip with my family to Carlsbad Caverns. We went into a very large cavern and were told to stop and not move as the lights went out. It was so dark that you could not see any shadow, even from your hand waving in front of your face. Someone in some remote place in the cavern lit a match, and you could see all around the cavern enough to read a newspaper.
In this dark, perverse world, we can see to navigate because we have the Light of Jesus within us. If one little match can light a great cavern, how much more can the Lord light our path in the here and now? 1 John 1:5, “This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all.”
